Special Interests

Dr. Nelson's journey into healthcare began on the tranquil mid-north coast of NSW, shaping his commitment to community well-being. In 2015, he completed his medical training at the University of Wollongong, followed by a residency at Hornsby and Royal North Shore Hospitals, where he gained valuable experience before venturing into General Practice in 2020.

Before transitioning to medicine, Dr. Nelson worked as an Exercise Physiologist, cultivating an interest in musculoskeletal and sports medicine that continues to influence his practice.

His areas of interest cover a broad spectrum, including chronic disease management, lifestyle medicine focusing on dietary modification and exercise, obesity management, weight loss, travel medicine, men's health, paediatrics, and sports medicine. While he has specific areas of focus, Dr. Nelson is dedicated to providing comprehensive and considerate care to individuals of all ages and health backgrounds.

Outside of the medical sphere, Dr. Nelson finds joy in spending time with his young family and, at a gradual pace, learning Korean.
