Dr. Lu, a warm and dedicated family-oriented GP, takes pride in delivering comprehensive and holistic care to her patients. Joining Northbridge Medical Practice in 2019, she finds joy in all aspects of general practice, with a specific focus on Women's health, Children's health, travel medicine, and preventative care.
Having spent her childhood in the Northern Beaches, Dr. Lu pursued her medical studies at the University of Adelaide, graduating in 2013. Her training journey included rotations at Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospital, where she gained diverse experience in surgical, respiratory, emergency, obstetrics & gynaecology, and paediatrics. In 2016, she achieved her Diploma of Child Health through the University of Sydney, followed by being awarded Fellowship of the College of General Practitioners in 2019.
Dr. Lu underwent specialised training with Family Planning NSW, enabling her to proficiently insert, remove, and manage intrauterine devices (IUDs), including Mirena, Kyleena, and copper IUDs. She is also skilled in inserting and replacing Implanon devices. Accredited for antenatal shared care with Royal North Shore Hospital, Dr. Lu can perform simple skin procedures such as laceration repairs and basic skin cancer removals.
Fluent in Mandarin, Dr. Lu ensures effective communication with a diverse range of patients. Beyond her professional commitments, she enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and husband, immersing herself in her favorite K-dramas during her leisure hours.
