Changes to Medicare Bulk Billing from 1st July 2026
Due to new Medicare regulations, verbal consent will no longer be accepted to bulk bill a consultation.
When your appointment concludes, Medicare will now require your formal agreement to assign your Medicare benefit to us.

In-Clinic: You will be asked to provide a digital signature or complete a brief written agreement or you can agree via the Tyro Eftpos machine.

Telehealth: You will receive a secure SMS or email with instructions to provide your consent digitally.
Our reception team or Practice Manager are happy to assist you with any questions you have regarding these changes.
Please note if this requirement has not been completed at time of consult, then unfortunately your consultation with the doctor will be privately billed.
